World War Two oral history interviews : interview with Irenus Sanders, August 1, 1994 / produced by Athens-Clarke County Library

Description:
Irenus Sanders recounts his WWII experiences. He entered the Navy in 1943 at the age of 18. He served in Saipan, Guam, the Philippines, and was in the invasion of Okinawa. He witnessed multiple Kamikaze attacks in Okinawa. He traveled throughout Japan ending his service in 1994. Mr. Sanders has the Navy Medal, 3 Bronze Stars. United StatesGeorgiaClarke CountyAthens
