Captain John Keane, SENIOR Arabic Linguistic, Combat Service Support Detachment 37, in support of Operation PACIFIC HAVEN, holds a conversation with Kurdish evacuees during their festivities of Eid-af-altar. This is a Muslim tradition that celebrates the end of Ramadan, a month of fasting and gaining spiritual enlightenment. PACIFIC HAVEN provided Kurdish evacuees political asylum from Iraq. While on Guam, the Kurds are provided shelter, food, clothing, medical care and assimilation classes for life in the United States
