Abbott visits Nauru to give thumbs up to processing centre

- The Federal Opposition Leader Tony Abbott will leave Nauru this morning hoping that his short visit to the island will bolster support for the Coalition's asylum seekers policy. Mr Abbott says his first visit to the island has confirmed to him that Nauru is well placed to again take asylum seekers diverted from Australia just as it did for several years from 2001.
