G4S to review training and investigate staff following 'inappropriate' Facebook comments

G4S, the security company which runs the Australian Government's Manus Island detention centre, says it will investigate its training programs and the actions of an employee who allegedly made 'inappropriate' remarks about asylum seekers on Facebook. Supervisor Darren Powell reportedly joked about one of the inmates who had supposedly swallowed a pair of nail clippers. According to an online professional profile, Darren Powell has completed suicide prevention training.
