U.S. Navy Adm. Robert F. Willard (right) Vice CHIEF of Naval Operations (VCNO), presents Medal of Honor recipient U.S. Navy LT. ohn Finn with a newly created Medal of Honor Flag aboard the USS CONSTITUTION at Boston Harbor, Mass., on Sept. 30, 2006. As a U.S. Navy Aviation Ordnanceman, Finn was awarded the Medal of Honor for extraordinary heroism in manning a .50-caliber machine gun and fending off the attacks of apanese warplanes at Kaneohe Bay Naval Air Station, Hawaii, on the morning of Dec. 7, 1941.
