US Navy (USN) Sailors aboard the USN Whidbey Island Class Amphibious Dock Landing ship USS RUSHMORE (LSD 47) "man the rails" as the ship pulls into Naval Station Pearl Harbor. The RUSHMORE is here to take part in Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2004. RIMPAC 2004 is the largest international maritime exercise in the waters around the Hawaiian Islands. This years exercise includes seven participating nations; Australia, Canada, Chile, Japan, South Korea, the United Kingdom and the United States. RIMPAC is intended to enhance the tactical proficiency of participating units in a wide array of combined operations at sea, while enhancing stability in the Pacific Rim region

Chinese Peoples Liberation Army Navy Sailors from the Luhu Class (Type 052) Guided Missile Destroyer QINGDAO (DDG 113) man the rails as their ship arrives at Naval Station Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, for a Goodwill Visit on Sept. 6, 2006.
