Radiolarian Skeleton - A sample of nonnofossil chalk ooze from Site 64 on Leg 7 of the deep Sea Drilling Project-Guam to Honolulu-shows a Radiolarian skeleton (large perforated sphere) surrounded by Coccoliths (small circular objects in matrix) and calcareous debris. The micrograph was made on a scanning electron microscope and was magnified 600 times. The sample was late Miocene in age and was taken from about 656 ft.
