At Dyess Air Force Base (AFB), Texas, a B-1B Lancer bomber from the 9th Bomb Squadron (BS), takes off on a deployment to Guam in support of our defensive posture in the Pacific region

Evacuees from bases in the Philippines congregate in a hangar as they wait for the planes which will take them on the final stage of their journey to the United States. Civilian and military personnel and their dependents have been evacuated from Naval Station, Subic Bay and Naval Air Station, Cubi Point as part of Operation Fiery Vigil in the aftermath of Mount Pinatubo's eruption on June 10th.

US Marines, Special Operations Capable, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) embarked aboard the amphibious assault ship USS GUAM (LPH 9) receive weapons training, on the M2 HB (Heavy Barrel).50 caliber heavy machine gun, while the ship moves closer to the Persian Gulf.
