A member of the Guam Detachment of Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit 5, points to a projectile uncovered during digging at a construction site. The Guam Police Department called in the unit to inspect the projectile, a 5-inch Japanese live round remaining from World War II

Dr. Dana Braner (left), Project HOPE (a civilian organization of medical volunteers), assisted by US Navy (USN) Information Systems Technician Second Class (IT2) Sheronda Allen, carry an Indonesian child in respiratory distress from a USN MH-60S Seahawk helicopter, Helicopter Combat Support Squadron 5 (HC-5), Andersen Air Force Base (AFB), Guam, onboard the Military Sealift Command (MSC) hospital ship USNS MERCY (T-AH 19). The child was medically evacuated from the island of Nias, Indonesia to the ship, where MERCY's medical personnel are conducting humanitarian assistance operations in the wake of the devastating earthquake that struck the island on March 28, 2005
