The US Navy (USN) Varsity Soccer team plays against the Russian Federation Navy (RFN) Soccer team, in an exhibition match at Blue Jacket Field, at Santa Rita, Guam (GU). RFN ships are in Guam participating in Exercise PASSEX 06, an exercise designed to increase interoperability between the two navies while enhancing the strong cooperative relationship between Russia and the United States

US Navy Admiral (ADM) Joseph W. Prueher, Commander in CHIEF U.S. Pacific Command, talks with members of Guam's media at Andersen AFB, Guam, during OPERATION PACIFIC HAVEN. Pacific Haven, a joint humanitarian operation conducted by the U.S. Military, evacuated over 2,100 Kurds from Northern Iraq. The evacuees will be housed temporarily at Andersen AFB, Guam, while they go through the immigration process for residence into the United States
