Earthquake ^ Tsunami - Pago Pago, American Samoa, October 5, 2009 -- A member of a Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT) rushes supplies onto an awaiting Coast Guard plane that will evacuate an infant to Hawaii. DMATs are part of the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services' National Disaster Medical System which supports hospitals and other medical and public health needs of communities during disasters such as the earthquake and tsunami disaster in American Samoa.
