U.S. Navy USS OKLAHOMA survivors (left to right), Ray Turpin, Jerry Tessaro, Paul Goodyear, George Smith and Raymond Richmond sit at the crest of the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard logo, which reads the motto,"We make them fit to fight,"during the USS OKLAHOMA Lobby Display Dedication ceremony at Naval Station Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. The motto was adopted after the events of on Dec. 7, 1941, and the shipyard's restoration of the crippled Pearl Harbor fleet. The renovation and dedication also honored the historic tie between the Pearl Harbor Shipyard workers who aided in the rescue of 32 Sailors from the capsized ship in the days following Dec. 7, 1941.
